My whole working life has been about resolving disputes in the built environment. As the daughter of an architect I was brought up to appreciate buildings and our surroundings and the impact they can have on our day to day lives. I have constantly brought that passion to my work, helping people resolve and navigate disputes in the real estate sector over the last 23 years.
As a senior partner and head of the only real estate team to be consistently ranked number 1 in both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 I developed a reputation for being calm and straight talking, skills highly relevant to mediation.
In reflecting on what kind of litigation solicitor I was, I realised that I got more joy from helping clients resolve their disputes than 'having the day in Court'. I therefore now focus on helping parties find a resolution to their disputes by mediation.
My previous experience allows me to get to grips with issues quickly, finding clarity where there is complexity and calm where there is frustration.
